Education is important for the progress of the nation and state, starting from the family and expanding in the environment and formal institutions. Education is a long process that is inseparable from life. This study aims to find out whether the application of the Jigsaw-type cooperative method can increase student activity and learning outcomes in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak (Taubat and Raja’ material) in grade VIII MTs Al Hikmah Pulogadung. The research was conducted in the form of Classroom Action Research (PTK) with two cycles, involving 15 students. The focus of the research is the activeness and learning outcomes of students. The results showed a significant improvement: the average learning outcome increased from 58.66% before the action to 76.66% in the first cycle, and 87.33% in the second cycle. Learning activity also increased from 81.33% in the first cycle to 90.66% in the second cycle. The number of students who achieved completeness also increased from 9 students (60%) in the first cycle to 14 students (93.33%) in the second cycle. In conclusion, the application of the Jigsaw-type cooperative method can increase student activity and learning outcomes in Aqidah Akhlak material.
